This outlook follows the company's second-quarter 2026 results, where it reported a net income of $33.10 million. The results also included a non-cash unrealized gain of $40.20 million from commodity derivatives. This type of gain is a profit on paper from contracts that protect against price changes, which has not yet been converted to cash.

To support its goal of returning capital to shareholders, Vitesse Energy declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.4375 per common share. This dividend is scheduled for payment on September 30, 2026. Dividends are a way for companies to share a portion of their profits directly with investors.
