Analog Devices (NASDAQ: ADI) is a major company in the semiconductor industry. It designs and manufactures chips used in many sectors, including industrial, automotive, and communications. The company currently has a market capitalization, which is the total value of all its shares, of about $181.81 billion.

On August 19, 2026, the grading company Bernstein upgraded its rating for Analog Devices. The rating changed from "Market Perform" to "Outperform," suggesting the stock is expected to do better than the overall market. As highlighted by TheFly, the news noted the company's valuation seemed separate from its strong growth.

This upgrade follows a strong third-quarter performance. Analog Devices reported record revenue of $4.02 billion, which is a 39.2% increase from the same period last year. This is the first time the company's quarterly revenue has passed the $4 billion mark, showing significant financial strength.

The growth is mainly from its Industrial and Communications businesses. The Industrial segment, Analog Devices' largest, accounted for 49% of total revenue. Its sales in this area grew by 53% year over year to $1.97 billion, showing very strong demand for its products in industrial applications.

Demand for chips used in AI data centers is a key factor, as highlighted by the WSJ. Looking forward, Analog Devices projects strong fourth-quarter results. This positive outlook is based on continued demand for its power-management chips fueled by AI investments, as reported by Reuters.
