Company-Specific News Drives Major Stock Gains

• Positive clinical data, strong earnings, higher financial guidance, and Nasdaq compliance announcements drove several notable stock gains.
• Leading movers included Opus Genetics (NASDAQ: IRD), ODDITY Tech (NASDAQ: ODD), Signet Jewelers (NYSE: SIG), and bioAffinity Technologies (NASDAQ: BIAF).
• Elevated trading volumes indicate increased market activity, although high volume alone does not necessarily demonstrate investor confidence.

Several companies recorded significant gains despite a weaker broader market. The leading movers represented industries including biotechnology, beauty technology, and retail.

Opus Genetics, Inc. (NASDAQ: IRD) climbed approximately 31.8% to $5.73 following updated three- and six-month clinical results for its OPGx-BEST1 gene therapy. The early-stage findings generated interest in the treatment’s potential for patients with inherited retinal diseases.

ODDITY Tech Ltd. (NASDAQ: ODD) advanced approximately 26.6% to $16.48 after reporting better-than-expected second-quarter results and issuing an encouraging full-year profit outlook.

Signet Jewelers Limited (NYSE: SIG) surged approximately 23.9% to $102.48. The rally followed adjusted quarterly earnings per share of $2.19, above analysts’ expectations of approximately $1.73, as well as improved same-store sales and higher full-year guidance. The gain should therefore be attributed to Signet’s earnings report rather than general retail trends.

bioAffinity Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: BIAF) rose approximately 18.4% to $10.50 after announcing that it had regained compliance with Nasdaq’s continued-listing requirements.

These gains were primarily associated with company-specific developments rather than a broad market rally. The S&P 500 fell 0.5%, while the Nasdaq Composite declined 0.6% during the session.
