Pinterest (NYSE: PINS) runs a platform where people find and save ideas for products, projects, and other interests. It earns money mainly from advertising. Director and 10% owner Benjamin Silbermann sold 46,875 Class A shares on October 14, 2026, at an average price of approximately $22.02 per share. The transaction was worth about $1.03 million.

The filing reports that Silbermann owned no shares after the sale. It does not state why he sold. A director’s sale can draw attention from investors, but it does not, by itself, show how the business is performing.

Pinterest rose 3.1% to $22.08 on October 13, putting it on track for a fifth straight daily gain. Even after that rise, it was down 25% for the year. The stock had also struggled to move above $22 in June and early September, making that price a level investors were watching.

As highlighted by Schaeffer’s Research, Pinterest had a 10-day call-to-put volume ratio of 1.34, among its highest readings of the past year. Calls are options often used to bet on a price increase; puts are often used to bet on a decline. The publisher said the high level of call buying could come before a pullback.

As highlighted by Barron’s, the publication dropped its Pinterest stock pick after the shares underperformed since its June 2025 recommendation. A separate market quote put Pinterest at $21.76, down $0.62, or 2.75%, with about 10.52 million shares traded.
